The Community Improvement Partnership was

 set up in 2007 to support schools and other agencies to meet the Every Child Matters agenda and the Extended Services Core Offer.

Working together in partnership with schools, the police, health and youth services in the north island area of Portsmouth, the NICIP were able to develop and deliver a huge range of projects to support children, young people and their families living in this area.

Due to the cessation of Government funding, as of 31st August 2012  the NICIP will no longer be managed and administered by a designated team and the NICIP office within Admiral Lord Nelson School will close.
